Wadowice – the hometown of John Paul II
There is a little town in the southern Poland, which has a special place inside heart of every Catholic in the world. This little town is Wadowice – the birthplace and hometown of Karol Wojtyla, a man who became Pope John Paul II.
To all of you who wants to feel the spirit of Wadowice and see place which made a young man to Pope, we created a special private tour! Our guide would pick you up from you accommodation place in Krakow and our private driver will take you straight to Pope’s hometown. Our guide will show you Wadowice centre and then you will be taken to John Paul II’s Museum, which is situated in his former house.
We will tell you the story of Kremowka – Pope’s favourite cake, which becomes a symbol of Wojtyla’s sense of humour. You will have a chance to taste the cake in one of the cafes in Wadowice. On our way back to Krakow, we will stop in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, where you can see the Mannerist Architectural and Park Landscape Complex and Pilgrimage Park which is UNESCO World Heritage Site.
